Why do the flax seeds need to be flattened out?
- In order for heat to distribute evenly through the cap, and to avoid damage to the cap, it is imperative that you even out the flaxseeds when microwaving.
Can I put the cap in the washing machine?
- No, the cap should only be spot cleaned by hand. When using your cap, a plastic cap should always be utilized when deep conditioning for upkeep of the conditioning cap.
How do I clean my conditioning cap?
- Clean your cap by spot cleaning areas of the cap that have residue. Using warm water and a hand towel, take the hand towel and wet the tip. Simply dab and wipe away residue. Apply small amounts of water as needed to remove the residue on your cap.
How long does the cap stay hot?
- Your conditioning cap should remain hot for at least 10 to 20 minutes when microwaved properly.
Do I have to use a plastic cap?
- Yes, we highly recommend using a plastic cap for upkeep of your cap and to enhance your deep conditioning experience.
What is the purpose of the plastic cap?
- The plastic cap separates the products in your hair from the conditioning cap to promote upkeep. Most importantly, the plastic cap captures the heat given off from the conditioning cap allowing maximum heat retention to your scalp and hair.
What sizes do you offer?
- It's one size fits most. Our caps have been customized to fit most hair types and head sizes.
Is this safe on children?
- Yes, with adult supervision. We recommend that you use the caps on children 7 years of age or older. Adults should microwave the caps and test the heat on themselves before applying on children.
